Ok, we're having an intermittent DNS issue where in about 1 in every 15
logins the workstation is unable to find the local server, and as a result
connects to another server in the tree which is at another physical

It only seems to be happening on a few workstations which, perhaps
coincidentally, happen to be closest to the server in terms of ping
times. I can't say why I think this, but I remember once reading
something or someone telling me that sometimes super low ping times can
cause DNS issues if there are other servers in the tree. Maybe someone
knows what I'm referring to?

Does anyone have any ideas? DNS seems to be working since it only occurs
on workstations in a certain location.
