I installed syslog-ng on a Red Hat 4 Linux machine using RPM. I see
that the install was successful, the files appear to be where they
need to be, and the start-up scripts look like they should try to
start up the syslog-ng process at boot time. I reboot the machine,
but the process does not start. I do a ps -ef | grep on syslog and it
is not there. Do you know why? What do I have to do to get this
process to start?
