Hello everybody.

I've just performed an upgrade installation of ZENWorks Asset Management
7.5 over a previously configured 7.0 one.

I did not touch anything both on the previous version and the current one
so the policies are the default ones.

I've got bot asset & inventory licenses installed which do not expire.

I've installed the ZAM client on a number of Windows boxes which were
able to connect to the server so that I can query them using the WEB console.

I've followed the instructions as to install the Linux client on both
Novell Linux Desktop 9 and SuSE Linux 10.1 but I cannot see these boxes
on the WEB interface.

I've started the client with the "start diagnostic" options and the above
was recorder into the tscclientEvent20070105.log file:

It seems the client is able to connect to the server (in fact, it does
every 30 minutes as intructed in the "Check in every" option for the
"Collection Server -> Default Server Name") but it does not report
anything back to the server itself.

I got the same error message both for the Novell Linux Desktop 9 and the
SuSE Linux 10.1.

Do I have to modify anything on the server side as to receive inventory
reports from Unix/Linux boxes?

Just to provide you with more info, the "Collection Servers -> Default
Server Name -> [General] -> Option Sets" values to "Public: Default
Option Set" which, in turns, has a [Workstations] filter criteria defined as

Inventory Type != Not-Yet-Scanned

Not sure if this is the default; do I have to change it (or add a new
row) as to include "UNIX Workstation"?

Thanks,
Rob
