I've been working on a simple app object to kick off the install of Adobe SVG Viewer 3.02.
It comes as a single executable that by default runs unattended. Nice.
Unfortunately in many instances one of its post-processes is to launch regedit.exe and
merge a .reg file contained in the extracted temp folder on the workstation.
Towards the end of the install when regedit.exe is launched to merge the file we are
frequently prompted with 4 error windows each including a OK button.

Cannot import C:\Documents: Error open the file. There may be a disk or file system
error.
Cannot import and: Error open the file. There may be a disk or file system error.
Cannot import Settings\Username\Local: Error open the file. There may be a disk or file
system error.
Cannot import Settings\Temp\SVGInstallTemp\SVG3.reg: Error open the file. There may be a
disk or file system error.

Clearly an installer issue with the spaces in the path of the extracted install files
under the Windows profile temp folder. Also unfortunate is that it only happens when the
exe is started via an app object (ZDM 6.5 SP1 agent). Run manually the install runs
without error.
I've tried switching the context of the app object (Normal and Unsecure system), calling
the installer exe via a Window script which is called by the app object, and using the
extracted files to do the install.

I'd like to avoid repackaging or otherwise spending too much time working around the
errors if I can. Since this install is going to be run by close to a 1000 users, there is
some concern of the volume of support calls it will create.
Has anyone come across this or a similar issue? What solution did you go with?

After all the error windows are closed, the installer claims to have installed
successfully. Essentially it has being that the viewer works and after looking at
SVG3.reg extracted during the install it just contains supporting information for its
uninstaller in Add/Remove Programs...
