We are having a slight issue with our managed desktop environment. We are
using 15" LCD monitors that have a optimal resolution setting of 1024x768.
A lot of the users are complaining that the fonts are too small and are
driving the monitors at 800x600. Problem is, running an LCD at a
resolution other than it's optimal resolution makes the display fuzzy, and
with ClearType on, the problem is even worse.

We completely lock down the display control panel and only allow users to
change their screen resolution.

The solution we have come up with is to drive the monitors at 1024x768 but
to set the fonts to Large in the appearance tab. We used snAPPshot to
capture the registry keys and can push them out to the user in an
application object.

The only issue is that just dropping the keys to the box does not apply
them. As a temporary workaround, I have the application object force a
reboot. I would prefer to add a script that would refresh the display
settings the way that the display control panel does when you hit the apply
button, but I do not know how to do this. Does anyone know of a command
line tool or a script that would allow me to do this?
