I'm not sure if this makes sense, so pardon any confusion:

Normally when you assign file rights to the application object, it
doesn't take effect "dynamically". Meaning it "kicks" in when you
associate or dis-associate the users/workstations/containers.

Now, let's say I've got a chained application set of 4 apps.

But each app has a diff. directory for the source files.

Do I need to give the "master" application file rights to all those 4

Or does each app get its own?

And, if each app gets it own, does it "kick in" when you associate/dis-
associate people from the MASTER application? (since in a chained app,
you don't associate people to the children)
