This may not be possible, but I have an MSI application that I created and I
can have the MSI install add the serial key to the installation (without it,
the program is in trial mode) by adding a MSIEXEC command line argument. Is
there a way I can do this in an MSI application. All I can find are command
line switches for after it installs and you run the actual program. More
details are below.

Thanks for any help

I am attempting to install VMware Workstation via zenworks. It has an admin
install function that generates an MSI, if you use msiexec, then you can add
an argument SERIALNUMBER=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx that will register the serial
number. We tried snapshotting the installation and it doesn't install
exactly correctly. Run from a command line it would look like this:

msiexec /i "VMware Workstation.msi" SERIALNUMBER=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx
