In my setup, an inventory scan should run once per day. I setup a schedule
so a scan will run randomly between 5:00 am and 7:00 am (before users
arrive). Problem is that if a machine is not on, it doesn't get scanned.
No problem - I change the policy to run between 5:00 am and 5:00 pm, and
uncheck 'randomly dispatch.' This covers machines that are on at 5:00 am,
and the systems that get powered on later.

Only problem is that if a system gets restarted, another scan runs. With
systems potentially being reset (for various reasons) several times during
the day, I don't want a scan to run each time a system get restarted.

So, how can I get a inventory scan to run once (and only once) per day? I'd
like to run the scan early in the day for systems that have WOL enabled, but
also cover systems that are turned on at various points in the day (i.e.
laptops). Symantec has an option to run a system scan if the scheduled
event was missed. Is there an option like that for inventory (or does this
fall under an enhancement request)?
