I am distributing Mozilla Firefox through ZENworks. I have created an
application for it using an MSI that auto installs it, adds java, adds
flash, and sets it the default browser. I am still working on generating
firefox profiles automagically. I would like to make this a seemless
Internet Explorer replacement, but I am running into a perculiar issue.

In group policies (for Windows 2000 SP4), I have set the parameter to
disable the Internet Explorer Desktop shortcut (which is also supposed to
remove the Internet Explorer Quick Launch icon). The desktop shortcut
removes fine when users log in, but the quick launch icon remains. Is
there some reason this policy is not applying entirely? Could it be it was
designed for Internet Explorer 5, and Internet Explorer 6 does not function
correctly with it?
