I found a way to use the DESKTOP4.EXE with batch files such that we can
connect either via DS or PASSWORD without using ConsoleOne (see below if you
can use them).

The problem is that the Remote Management Report, when connected over IP
reports that the Console User is "UNKNOWN"

Is there any way to get around this? Couldn't the Agent at least identify
the source IP address and put it into this field.

If you don't know a way around it, can you please let me know where this
Audit data is stored on the workstation, I'd like to see if I can modify it
to get the information I want.

With DESKTOP4.EXE installed to ConsoleOne, the following local batch files
(placed in the BIN folder) have been working well.

Remote Control with DS
@ECHO OFF
SET /P WSNAME=Enter workstation name:
C:\NOVELL\MGMT\CONSOLEONE\1.2\BIN\desktop4 -w"CN=%WSNAME%.OU=Workstations.O=
OHICO" -n"OHICO" -c"RemoteControl"
SET WSNAME=

Remote Control with PASSWORD
@ECHO OFF
SET /P WSIP=Enter workstation IP address:
SET /P WSPWD=Enter workstation password:
Echo AGENT_IPADDRESS=%WSIP%> C:\Novell\mgmt\ConsoleOne\1.2\bin\RemAgent.ini
Echo AGENT_PASSWORD=%WSPWD%>> C:\Novell\mgmt\ConsoleOne\1.2\bin\RemAgent.ini
Echo AUTHENTICATION_MODE=PASSWORD>>

Echo PROTOCOL=TCPIP>> C:\Novell\mgmt\ConsoleOne\1.2\bin\RemAgent.ini
C:\NOVELL\MGMT\CONSOLEONE\1.2\BIN\desktop4 -w -c"RemoteControl"
SET WSIP=
