Hi All

This was posted in the 6.5 Forum, but no replies so I thought I'd try
my luck here.

ZFD 6.5 SP1b running on Windows 2003
PXE Version 6.5.1.50412
Img Version 6.5.1.50412

I am having an issue with a growing number of Workstations getting a
No Response from transaction server when booting from PXE , they
eventually timeout and then carry on booting.

Because this is not working properly ,I am unable to set a workstation
to re-image from PXE Boot.

When I have this occur, I can boot from a CD and image manually.

Here is an entry from the ZenPxe.log

(4) Connecting to - 172.16.4.7
(4) connected successfully
(4) server version from proxy - 7
sending PROXY_CMD_PXE_FILE packet
reading the PXE filename from the network
PXE filename length = 24
pxeFileName = b
proxyGetPXEFilename returned workToDo = 2
proxyGetPXEFilename returned SUCCESS
PXE Filename = bootzen2.bin
pxeProxyInit Success
EXIT ZENGetPXEFilename returning (workToDo) 1
EXIT ZENGetPXEFilename returning (filename) bootzen2.bin
ENTER ZENGetPXEFilenameEx

This is an entry from Zenpxe for a PC that is not set to reimage

(4) Connecting to - 172.16.4.7

Most of these workstations used to work fine, but the No response from
transaction Server messages have been becoming more frequent in the
past few months.

I have looked at the following TID's
TID 10076630
TID 10095197

An upgrade to Zen 6.5 SP2 did not fix the issue, and was rolled back (
it broke something else )

I am assuming that this is the line that is causing problems
pxeFileName = b

Has anyone ideas on what might be causing this and or what areas I can
look at to help me to fix this problem.

Thanks
