I am looking for a white paper, or some best practice documentation which
defines a "base image." From many years of experience using Ghost, and
various versions of Zenworks, I like to have a base image which contains
the OS, and all the basic client software. If 100% of the end users use
a particular client, say like GroupWise, I see no harm in putting that on
the base image as well.

I am told that my opinions are dated, and with the way the newer verions
of Zen operate, I should allow Zen to do the work, and that the base
image should only contain the bare bones OS. I have my opinions, just
wanted to know if anyone out there has any they'd like to share.

I know this is a very generic question, but I am hoping some one can
help, or perhaps even point to a more appropriate forum for this question
