ZENworks Desktop Management 7 SP1 on a Windows Server 2003 R2 hosting all
ZDM services. Running Windows XP SP2 on the workstations. This is a
test/lab environment.

When deploying a workstation "base" image to a PC along with several
application images, the cached applications do not install themselves even
though the application object "common/imaging" tab is set to "force run".

In order to get the applications to install the application object
"association" tab must be set to "force run", then the applications cached
on the PC will install. This is not an ideal way to do this.

Is this working "as designed" or am I missing something here. I basically
want the "base" worksation image to be installed along with a number of
application images when the PC is first imaged. When it is rebooted I want
the applications, which are cached on the PC to install themselves.

All of the application objects are based on msi files and they all work OK.

The ZENworks 7 SP1 docs and the Novell ZENworks 7 Sutie Administrator's
Handbook are pretty thin on applying application objects to an image.

Any insights would be appreciated.
