I'm attempting to follow the directions to add a driver to initrd for a
zen pxe server (netware kernel). The problem is that gzip responds with
"decompression OK, trailing garbage ok". Zen 7 SP1

I'm following the directions at:

If I list the contents of the file (gzip -l initrd.gz) it reports that the
uncompressed size is 3.6 some odd GB. Anyway, If I ignore the error and
then turn around and gzip the uncompressed file back to a compressed file,
the resulting file is less than half the size of the original initrd file
from the servers sys/tftp/boot directory.

Is the trailing garbage actually garbage and I can safely ignore the
message? And if so, do I need to add the "garbage" back to the file before
I use it?
