We recently got in some HP dc5700 and dc5750s. We've been having the
same issues that lots of folks have posted about here. First, it was
the NICs, got past that....then it was the SATA drives. Stuck on that.

The dc5750 has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core chip. It has an ATI SATA
Controller (IDE Mode) in it. The hard drive and the dvdrw/cdrw are both
connected with SATA. It has the standard Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabyte
NIC in it.

The dc5700s, have been deployed, so I don't have the exact specs on
them. I know they have Intel chips, Broadcom NICs, and I'm not sure
what SATA controller they have.

I've tried just about everything listed in this forum. I'm up to ZD7
SP1 HP2. I've grabbed the latest bootcd.iso from the link that went to
the support.novell.co.uk FTP site. I added in the pci=nomsi lines from
the one Dell fix. Still nothing. Here is the troubled spot in the
kernel messages log.....

The hard drive and dvdrw both seem to timeout. I have no clue what
would be causing this. After the hardware detection finishes, the CD
boots, and gives the good old message about not being able to find the
ZENWorks installer. I'm at a stand still now. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks,
