Ok, I used the following steps in an effort to remake the initrd file
located in our zenwork 7.0 sp1 box. (Based on

Copied the /sys/tftp/initrd off the Novell box to a Linux box. (I also
tried with a *BSD box.)
Made the appropriate directories.
gunzip -c initrd > ./1/initrd
cd /home/<user_dir>/ZenNew/point
cpio -idm < /home/<user_dir>/ZenNew/1/initrd

Then I went to bin and added a small script that I'd written for our
environment, and did the following:

cd /
find /home/<user_dir>/ZenNew/point | cpio -o -c >
gzip --best /home/<user_dir>/ZenNew/initrd
mv /home/<user_dir>/ZenNew/initrd.gz /home/<user_dir>/ZenNew/initrd
chmod 777 /home/<user_dir>/ZenNew/initrd

I then copied the initrd file back into the Novell Zenworks server's
/sys/tftp directory and the /sys/tftp/boot directory.

Unfortunately, after running a zfdstop and zfdstart on the server to
reload the imaging engine, I get the following error going into manually

EXT2-fs: unable to read superblock
MINIX-fs: unable to read superblock
isofs_fill_super: bread failed, dev=md3, iso_blknum=16, block=32
Kernel panic – not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on

Did I miss something?

Any help would be appreciated,
