Hi all,

I previously had this problem but thought it was resolved - opening a new
thread as the last was quite deep and didn't get anywhere in the end.

1) Installing Zenworks 7 SP1 through documented procedure by Novell (using NAL
through Zenworks 7 (non SP1) to push).
Invoking process as unsecure system user, associated by Workstation and Force
Run.

2) Installation seems to go fine.
MSI reports successful, and a system restart is initiated to complete install.

3) After reboot, the NALAGENT.EXE is missing.
It is not missing before the reboot as it is held in use (see below).

Held in use files (a couple of examples):
Product: ZENworks Desktop Management Agent. The file
C:\WINDOWS\system32\msvcr71.dll is being held in use by the following process
Name: NalAgent , Id 4052.

Product: ZENworks Desktop Management Agent. The file C:\Program
Files\Novell\ZENworks\NalAgent.exe is being held in use by the following
process Name: NalAgent , Id 4052.

MSI is being run by MSI AO, but command would be:
zdmagent.msi /qb!
ADDLOCAL=WorkstationManager,ApplicationLauncher,Re moteManagement,Inventory
LOGIN_PASSIVE_MODE=0 STARTUP_APPEXPLORER=1 NAL_SINGLE_TREE=1 WM_LOGIN_EVENTS=1
REBOOT=ReallySuppress REINSTALLMODE=vamus

Note that a program is invoked to ask user to restart, rather than using the
MSI restart option.

Also, MSI logging is set to VOICEWARMUP
The MSI logs show that everything "seemed" normal, just as the event viewer
suggest with successful operation.

Any ideas?
Thanks!
