We have been Zenworks users since the beginning, struggling through all
the quirks and issue with each release. But one of the few products in
the suite we have never used was imaging. Up until now we have used an
old version (5.5 I think) of Altiris with pretty good luck. Well since
trying to use ZenWorks 6.5 Imaging I have ad issue with each new machine I
get trying to get drivers to work.

Currently I have HP nc6230 laptops and Panasonic CF-29 Toughbooks that
both fail to find the network card from the cdboot.iso. I'm pretty new to
Linux and havent quite figured out how this whole building imaging
Kernels and all works.

So what am I trying to say? One: does anyone have a solution for my
current driver issue? Two: Can anyone help with an easier way to add
drivers? I'm think instead of a kernel build, can't something be added to
have the Linux kernel look external for drivers? Maybe it does and I just
don't understand, if so please forgive my ignorance. And finally Three:
I'll add my voice to one of the posts here, "This has got to be made
easier", most of us do not have the kind of time it takes to do this stuff
every time a new piece of equipment comes in.

By the way the I am still able to boot with and create an image for these
machines with Altiris. That's at least a 5 year old product. Go figure.

Thanks in advance for any help and sorry for the length and the rant but
I'm frustrated.
