What is VMware Player?

VMware Player is free software that enables PC users to easily run any
virtual machine on a Windows or Linux PC. VMware Player runs virtual
machines created by VMware Workstation, GSX Server or ESX Server and
also supports Microsoft virtual machines and Symantec LiveState Recovery
disk formats.

Here is the main page for downloading pre-configured virtual machines
for VMWare Player. Companies on the list include Novell, Red Hat, IBM, etc.

Novell has created a SLES9 and NLD VMWare virtual machine image you can
download for the VMWare Player.

In theory, now that the virtual machine software is free, demand for a
standard Linux virtual machine image for modifying the ZEN Imaging CD
should pick up. Maybe we'll get an official virtual machine from Novell?
