I have setup a usb disconnected imaging hard drive using the soft from:
http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tools/14469.html and i'm having a
problem!

I have 3 partitions on the disk, one fat partition for the boot, one
fat partition which contains some rescue utils for windows and one
large ntfs partition which contains my images.

The problem i'm having is that whenever I actually image from this, it
deletes the first two partitions on the usb disk!! It appears to image
the target disk in the pc fine. Does anyone know why this could be?

I've included my settings.txt and my custom imaging script below:

settings.txt:

# ZENworks Imaging settings.txt
# denotes a comment

PARTITIONSIZE=0
MANUALREBOOT=YES
export IMGCMD="/bin/menu.s"
export NONETWORK="1"

menu.s:

##!/bin/bash

echo "************************************************* **"
echo "** This will image the system with a staff image **"
echo "** completely destroying any data on the drive **"
echo "** Press y if you are sure you wish to do this **"
echo "** Alternatively, press p for a command prompt **"
echo "** Or press r to reboot **"
echo "************************************************* **"
read input
if [ $input = "y" ]; then
mount -o remount,ro /
mount /dev/sda3 /mnt/usb
img rl /mnt/usb/bcuc-staff.zmg
echo " "
echo "************************************************* *"
echo "** Please check the above log lines for errors! **"
echo "************************************************* *"
echo " "
echo "Press Any Key To Continue"
read input
mount -o remount,rw /
reboot
fi
if [ $input = "p" ]; then
prompt.s boot
fi
if [ $input = "r" ]; then
reboot
