We are trying to use ZAM 7.5 to drive our entire inventory process. As
part of this process, we want to scan hardware as it arrives and get it
into the database ASAP. Obviously, we need the hardware in ZAM before
the client is loaded. Here's the goal:

1. Import the serial number and basic info in an Access database.
2. Access database sends information into ZAM database
3. Later, when we load the ZAM client on the workstation, it "updates"
the entry from step two.

Is anyone doing this or something similar? Currently, the ZAM client
creates a second entry in the database--it does not update the existing
one. We've tried a couple inventory and asset types but none seem to
make a difference...
