Has anyone else had problems un-installing the zlm 7 agent? I use zlm-
uninstall and all appears well until you try and install the agent
again. It seems that the uninstall leaves something behind
called "novell-zenworks-zmd-tess-7.0.0-0". rpm -e errors out and does
not remove it.

If you type rpm -e novell-zenworks-zmd-tess-7.0.0-0 you get the following
message

insserv: /etc/init.d/novell-RunLevelChange0: No such file or directory
insserv: /etc/init.d/novell-RunLevelChange1: No such file or directory
insserv: /etc/init.d/novell-RunLevelChange2: No such file or directory

......

error: %preun(novell-zenworks-zmd-tess-7.0.0-0) scriptlet failed, exit
status 1

If you try and install the agent again, all looks well until you try
adding a zenworks service with

../rug sa https://<your zen server>

You get the following error.

Error: ZMD does not appear to be running.

I have been able to re-create this problem on a fresh install of SLES 9
many times. A colegue of mine has been able to re-create on OES and SLES
9.

After removing the zen agent, nothing works properly again after that. I
can not re-install or cleanly un-install the agent any more.

Has anybody else seen this and found a fix for it?
