This message is getting to be very frustrating.

I have been trying to perform a backfill on an elementary school since
last Thursday. I was able to do it once with check and I now, I know that
I have 3 users with an issue at this one campus.

Now, everytime that I try to run backfill and sometimes Perform
Consistency check, I get "The engine is unable to service the request at
this time."

IS THERE ANYWAY TO GET THIS PUT INTO A QUEUE SO THE ENGINE CAN PROCESS IT
WHEN IT CAN? Do we need to adjust our configuration on NSM?

Do I have to come in after-hours to do backfills?

Do I have to manually correct user errors? Right now, I have a user where
everything is correct, but no rights to home directory. I just wanted to
do a backfill to fix the problem. The home directory for this user
exists.

Any suggestions on how to lessen getting this "unavailable request" and
thus lessen my frustration.

thanks,
Lin
