I had a situation this morning on our two test workstations in attempting to login they stayed at the client screen, frozen, requiring that they be turned off in order to restart.

I was able to ping the ip's of the ZCM server, but could not get into the console screen. I restarted the server from ILO and then was able to login normally.

It seems obvious that the problem had to do with the ZCM10 agent not being able to connect to or find the primary server. I couldn't get in workstation only either. Is there a timeout value that can be set so that the workstation will login if the ZCM server isn't found, or at least give some type of error message. I understand wanting to insure policies are pushed down and such, but I can't imagine what it would be like on a morning when everyone was sitting at a login screen waiting for a dead ZCM server.
