According to my theoretical research the following does work:

a) VPN Client on guest OS using bridged networking connecting to protected network

This is unclear whether it works:

b) VPN Client on guest OS using NATed shared networking connecting to protected network

This does not work:

c) VPN Client on host OS and guest OS using NATed shared networking, at the host OS routing enabled and connecting to protected network from guest OS

d) VPN Client on host OS and guest OS using bridged networking and connecting to any network from guest OS

Is this correct? Does anyone have practical experiences with such setups? The only really useful scenario for me would be getting scenario c) to work, to get VPN access for an OS, which lacks a functioning VPN client.

Thanks to every hint!
