If I want to add a filter exception which does not allow connection to certain IP-addresses, this is rather monstrous to set up as filter exception, because that would need each filter exception be modified to exclude those addresses. This would lead to an enormous filter database if only 5 not contagious addresses had to be excluded and gets totally out of control if excluding more IP-addresses.
So as a workaround I thought of adding bogus routes into the sys:etc\gateways file.

Is this the recommended solution and should the bogus routes be existing (reachable) addresses (of course without a route back to avoid loops) or should they be unreachable destinations?
