We are a netware shop that uses Bordermanager 3.8sp4. This is a school
system that has about 500 concurrent connections out to the web during the
peak hours of the day. Starting next year we are going to be going to a web
based student administration program that is going to be hosted offsite and
we are a little concerned about bandwidth and performance from a software
firewall. We were considering using a Cisco pix or asa appliance to handle
the added traffic this new program will generate but cost could be an issue.
Someone mentioned another Bm server configured for load balancing. No.1 is
there such a thing and No.2 is it difficult to configure and troubleshoot.
