We get the errors "kernel: Error -601 from ndp_NCPMapGUIDToUID on our OES
servers in the messages log. I've heard the suggestion that we need to
LUM enable our users to resolve these errors. However, the users don't
login directly to the server or use any linux services, they only use
mapped drives that are hosted on NSS volumes. Ownership, trustees etc
seem to be stored correctly.

Rather than messing with cron jobs and scripts to automatically LUM enable
our users, I would rather understand why they need to be LUM enabled in
the first place? As I said, our users only use the "NetWare Services"
side of things...
