We're having problems with Tomcat/LDAP on one of our servers that runs
GroupWise webaccess. So far we have been unable to get around the issue,
even with help in the edirectory forums.

Because I haven't been able to get it fixed, but need to get webaccess up
and running, I'm thinking about installing NW 6.5 on an old server I have,
and setting up webaccess on there for the time being (until I can get the
other one fixed).

First, is there any reason that this would be a bad idea? I figured I
could just point it to the GW domain on the other server (which is a
secondary domain in and of itself) and it should run just fine.

Second, I haven't brought in a new server in YEARS. Is there anything I
have to be aware of in doing so? Can I set it up independently, but give
it the right TREE name, and just bring it in when it is set up, or do I
need to make sure it is already on the network as I am setting it up?

Like I said, I've done this before, but it has been years, and I'd like to
go about doing it right. Any input you can offer would be greatly
