I'm looking at adding an Open Enterprise Server 2 Linux server into my
environment. Last month I went to a Novell presentation on OES2 and
Teaming+Conferencing. During the OES2 presentation they said that you must
first logout of X-Windows and then shutdown or reboot the server from the
login screen. If you try to shut down the server from within X-Windows you
will get a corruption of the volumes (I'm assuming he meant NSS volumes).

I've been spending some time reading various manuals on OES2 and haven't
found that same warning. I tried searching for it but haven't gotten any
hits. Can anyone comment on this? If I boot up the server and just leave
it at the login screen can I reboot it from a SSH session?
