I just done an iPrint update to 10 cluster nodes and was blasted for not
rebooting after the patch, see an excerpt from an email, he is a complete
d1ck, he is not technical, just a boss, I said I followed Novell's
instructions, he didn't care...makes me sick

Why the hell didn't you reboot after doing the print fix

As a say, regardless of the vendor recommendation, typically we reboot to
ensure the service is restored upon reboot. This way, we know if our
change has introduced a fault of some kind directly related to our change
or not.

This would typically apply to software installs and uninstalls.
