I am installing a new ml350 g5 w/nw65sp6+postsp6. I have had trouble with
it and decided to start from scratch. It is an Intel Xeon Processor. At
the monitor.nlm, it says there are 2 processors. I could not see an
obvious choice to turn off hyperthreading in the BIOS. Under Advanced
Options/MPS Table Mode, I can choose either Full Table APIC or disable.
With Full Table APIC, I have the 2 procs under monitor.nlm and everything
seems to run fine. Under disabled, I have 1 proc under monitor, random
reboots and smartstart won't even boot...it hangs loading. What do you
suggest I do? I am not even sure if this APIC the right setting to tunr
off to shutdown hyperthreading or not. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks.
