We have a NetWare 6.5 SP6 server that has been running cleanly for a
long time (a couple of years with no issues). We had a power problem
recently, and the server will not boot completely now. It boots to a ":"
only, and both the SYS and DATA NSS pools cannot be verified or rebuilt.
The SYS volume is left in a maintenance state and the DATA volume is in
a deactive state when booting. On both pools, the verify responds with a
message about system "beasts" and the rebuild fails immediately.

Is it possible for these NSS pools to be rebuilt? Is there a step for
rebuilding NSS pools in this condition that I'm missing? Is this going
to be a case where we will need to tear down the server and rebuild it
from scratch?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
