I sure hope someone is still using Zenworks 6.5 SP2 IR1 out there in the
world. I've just got a whole bunch of HP DC7800's that need to be imaged
and guess what, the NIC is not recognised by our current initrd when we
PXE boot. I've had a good look around at various forums to see whether
anyone else is having this problem and if you're using Zenworks 7 then
there seems to be some solutions but those solutions have not worked in my
Zenworks 6.5 environment. I've even gone to the painful lengths of setting
up a development environnment in linux from this site ...

... and I've downloaded the latest e1000 driver source code from Intel,
compiled it on the above environment (without problems) but when I
manually load the driver using insmod e1000.ko it comes up with the
following error ...

insmod: error inserting 'e1000.ko': -1 Invalid module format

I've spent the better part of 5 days working on this and I've hit a brick
wall. Has anyone got any ideas on how I can get these DC7800's to talk to
our Imaging server? Anyone got an updated initrd that I could possible

Many thanks
