    RIP Sir Edmund Hillary

    He was one of a very small number of people I have always considered to be a
    real hero. I had the great good fortune to meet him and spend a little time
    with him. This is a sad day for me. A very big loss for us all. For those
    of you who didn't know about him, take the time to read the bios that
    accompany his obituary. "Ed" was truly remarkable.

    Absolutely agree - never met him, but always considered him a proper
    hero too.
