I was uploading a native Vista Laserjet 5n driver (there is no downloadable
driver for
Vista on the HP site - since it's embedded in Vista)
Using a Vista box with iPrint client etc installed.

Got strange error
NDPS LIBRARY ERROR 1060004H
OTHER ERROR FFFFFC2EH

Oddly when I checked, it had (apparently) uploaded the driver and I was able
to
install the printer.

Then tried to upload a driver for a 220DN (d/l from HP) from files.

Got strange error messsage "Error reading Broker configuration"

Figuring iManager had hiccupped I restarted the server. Big mistake.

NW65SP7

IPPSRVR refuses to load, server 5.70-1318 Read past end of buffer errors
It 'AUTOFAIL's

Naturally the broker won't load and neither will the print manager with
their
own list of autofails, so our printers are dead in the water.

Suggestive of some kind of corruption, presumably in IPPSRVR. Subbed the
one from an earlier version, but
the one i need seems to be embedded in SP7 somewhere.

Reapplying SP7 now to see if that fixes it. If not, where do I go from
here?

Can I reinstall iPrint (how?) without wiping the printer databases?

Not to worried about the driver database, but too many printers to reinstall
in the time available
to me. (Not to mention the workstation end).

Any suggestions gratefully received.

TIA
