In order to prevent workstations and/or users from copying group policies from a server that may be across a WAN link, we would like to use an environment variable in the "Network Location of Existing/New Group Policies" field of workstation/user packages. According to the documentation:
"If you use an environment variable in the Network Location of Existing/NewGroup Policies field, you must first set the environment variable on the management workstation on which you are running ConsoleOne and on any workstations that receive the group policy. You must also exit and restart ConsoleOne before the variable is recognized."
What is the best practice for assigning said environment variable so that it is accessible to both the workstation object (package schedule: system startup) and the user object (package schedule: user login)?
Any help is appreciated,
