We have an OES2 Linux server that hosts an NSS volume that our users connect to on a regular basis. Some users navigate to this server via UNC while others map to the server. When trying to connect via UNC, Windows Explorer hangs anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds before showing a directory listing. If users connect via a login script mapping, the script will say "Connecting to Shared1" (The name of our OES2 server) anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds. Once it connects, the script completes and users are logged in successfully. This is happening on every PC in our district. Once users finally connect to the server, everything seems fine. Speed is not an issue as we can copy files very quickly to and from the server.

I'm new to OES Linux so forgive me if I'm a little slow catching on to this stuff.

This is becoming a big annoyance and I'd like to figure this out as soon as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions?
