I have a functioning OES2 Linux server which seems to be having a few
issues. What I assume to be application core dumps (named "core.nnnn") are
created in the file system root "/" folder every few days. Also the NAM
cache daemon stops running every few days with no obvious entries in the
/var/log/messages file, although it starts back up with no problem. These
issues may or may not be related.

How can I determine what is generating these "core dump" files and/or what
tools can I use to analyze them.

This seems to be the only forum for such questions, as I see no equivalent
to the "novell.support.open-enterprise-server.netware.abends-hangs" forum
for Linux.
