My company has a need to encrypt sensitive information currently stored on NSS volumes. I've already been told that if these were NTFS volumes, any windows machine could easily do this and the problem would be solved. I looked into NSS Encryption and it seems that Novell's file system encryption is global per the volume and it's mainly used to physically secure the protected device (which also makes it incompatible with Clustering since the passphrase entry cannot be automated). Is anybody else in a similar predicament? Maybe solved it with a third-party encryption solution? If so, which and why did you choose it? Thanks for the pointers...
