Hi Guys,

A strange variant on this problem.

When logging in, I get this:
GROUPWISE
LOGIN-LGNWNT32.DLL-890: The specified server is unknown.
LOGIN-LGNWNT32.DLL-430: The following drive mapping operation could not be
completed.
[K:=GROUPWISE/USERLAND:]
The error code was 8884.
GROUPWISE
LOGIN-LGNWNT32.DLL-890: The specified server is unknown.
LOGIN-LGNWNT32.DLL-430: The following drive mapping operation could not be
completed.
[J:=GROUPWISE/SYS:]
The error code was 8884.

The other 3 servers (2xNW6SP7 and 1xOES1/Linux) hook up just fine.
I am given to understand that this is an slp related issue, however I can
find no obvious problem - though I would be pleased to hear what things I
should be checking as I am not certain I have covered all the bases.

What's odd about this is that it only happens to machines that are in the
same IP subnet as the servers.

Servers and IT management workstations have IPs in the 10.0.0.x range.
Workstations, printers, WAPS etc have an IP address in the 10.0.x.x range
where 10.0.x corresponds to a physical location, ie a workstation in room 7
is 10.0.7.x...

The issue described ONLY occurs on workstations with 10.0.0.x ip addresses.
I cannot understand why. There are no routers involved and the global
netmask is 255.0.0.0 so everything can 'see' everything else.

Anyone shed any light?

TIA
