There are at least three aspects to a software licence he is managing, He said that he enters in licence information (eg we bought 400 copies of software X), but next year they only choose to maintain 200 at the maintenance renewal stage, and then there is also the number of copies of the official media to consider in some cases.

So in this case , should he be continually adjusting the figure downwards in the licence record ?, have multiple entries ? Enter the media only in the purchase record ? Advice appreciated
