Hello,

For some reason owcimomd does not stay loaded. The unixenv does but while in the bash environment I noticed that it did not have the server name as the bash prompt. Not sure if these two are related.

I have tried deleting and recreating the SSL certs but does not fix it. I have tried running the following in Bash:

/SYSTEM/CIMOM/ETC/OPENWBEM/OWGENCERT --FORCE

But I get the following:

SYSTEM/CIMOM/ETC/OPENWBEM/OWGENCERT: line 1: !/bin/sh: event not found
/SYSTEM/CIMOM/ETC/OPENWBEM/OWGENCERT: line 2: !/bin/sh: event not found
/system/cimom/etc/openwbem/hostkey+cert.pem exists! Use "/SYSTEM/CIMOM/ETC/OPEN
WBEM/OWGENCERT --force."

I tried deleting the hostkey+cert.pem file but I get another error basically saying the file does not exist. So then I turned on the debub switch in openwbem.conf file and the following is what I see at the end of the log after trying to load openwbem.ncf:

1]HTTP Service is starting...
[1]* EXCEPTION CAUGHT IN CIMOM MAIN!
[1]* OW_PosixFileSystem.cpp: 464 FileSystemException: Can't open random file /usr/home/.rnd for writing
[1]CIMOM has shutdown

The /usr/home/.rnd folder does not exist on this server.

Any suggestions?

Scott
