I currently use Skype for all my incoming and outgoing calls at home. I
really like it.

I am doing research to see if there is a 'server' version of that type of
service. So far, 'trixbox' (which appears to be based off of a 'Asterisk'
pbx) seems to be what I am looking for.

However, how does such a server actaully dial over VoIP? Dont I still need
VoIP service like skype? Does it somehow just "dial" over my cable line and
I am able to call pots numbers?

Anyone with experience with this stuff?

Warning: I am expceptional slow today and slightly dense. So, it may take
a few tries to get me to 'see teh light'.
