I have a network where the DNS-DHCP Locator Object vanished . . .

I've read various TID's and messages here and they spoke of how to
recreate the locator, however, first you should export your DNS & DHCP

ConsoleOne and DNS-DHCP manager both fail to run because of the
missing locator. I have looked in the tree and my DNS/DHCP info all
(excpet the locator) appears to be there, for which there is a lot of
data that will be a headache to recreate all of it...

So is there a way to backup this data outside of these two tools?
Any suggestions on what is the best way to proceed without creating
too much of mess?
