Perhaps this is a mis-configuration on my part.

We wanted McAfee 8.5i to be deployed to workstation via MSI

I made the NAL object and set it to dist. always

However, I put a system requierement as follows:

( OS version(Windows 2000/XP) = 5.0.2195.x
AND Registry data(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\Uninstall:{35C03C04-3F1F-42C2-A989-A757EE691F65}) not
exist)
OR ( OS version(Windows 2000/XP) = 5.1.2600.x
AND Registry data(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
\CurrentVersion\Uninstall:{35C03C04-3F1F-42C2-A989-A757EE691F65}) not
exist)

It seemed to work fine

You'd get it installed once and then not again

If you removed the app, it would re-deploy (as designed)

However, I needed to bump the version number up (long story).

When I did that, SOME (but not all) workstations got the app again

I understand that normally this would happen, however, the system
requiement should've prevented the app from installing on workstations
that already had it, yes?
