I have (foolishly) just done an Online Update (which included a Kernel update!) on one of our SLES10 SP1 Servers and now it won't boot due to the 3ware RAID driver not being compatible for the newer Kernel.

What's annoying is even though the Grub Menu.lst file still has the links to the old native SP1 Kernel boot options, the actual Kernel files in /boot don't exist anymore....just the new Kernel.......very very annoying.

So I'm guessing I can either:

1) Somehow Backrev to the old Kernel;

2) Compile some new 3ware drivers for the new Kernel.

Is 1) a viable option and how do go about this? Or is this no recommended?

Any other tips would be greatly appreciated guys..
