Hi,

Or so the reports page says. I have a zingle zen zerver ( SLES 10.1 +
ZCM 10.0.2 ) and when I go into the reporting page I get:

Note: There are no Business Objects Reporting servers configured in
the Management Zone.

Fine... ( Would be nice to tell me WHERE to do that, or link to it. )
OK, so RT(friendly)M, googling and visiting the KB and forums turn up
various problems, like BOE was not installed, its on a different server,
the server has too many bits, the DB on the master uber server is
MSSQL... None of these are my problem. So I try reinstalling the BOE
server

/blah/blah/blah/novell-zenworks-configure -c InstallBOE

and specify the path to the BOE install.sh... and I get...

Enterprise XI install com.novell.zenworks.configure.ConfigureException: An

So I look in the boeinstall.log and it says:

So.... all the java salad means "BOE is already installed." OK.
Fine. So I go to the BOE web interface:

https://myserver/businessobjects/ent...logon/logon.do

And I see a login page ( hooray! ) but when I try to login I get the
generic "any of the following vague things may have happened" message.
I don't know what credentials it wants. But nothing I've configured
works. Could be its just not running.

So is there ACTUALLY a place to select / specify a BOE server in the
Linux version? Where be that? How can I tell if BOE is really
healthy / running? The default port is showing up in the InfoView
login is 6400, I see nothing listening on 6400 so I suspect its just not
started. Are there startup logs for the BOE back end? I don't see
anything interesting showing up in any of the logs in the
var/opt/..../logs folder.

Thanks for the help!
