Trying to cluster MySQL on OES Linux with an NSS volume. I have followed the documentation to cluster MySQL.

I keep getting the following error:

080509 9:53:45 [ERROR] Can't start server : Bind on unix socket: Operation not permitted
080509 9:53:45 [ERROR] Do you already have another mysqld server running on socket: /media/nss/WWW/mysql/mysql.sock ?
080509 9:53:45 [ERROR] Aborting

I am pretty sure it has something to do with rights. Have tried remarking out the mysql user in the password file and creating the user "mysql1" in e-dir, didn't work renamed the user to mysql, still didn't work. Renamed the e-dir user back to "mysql1" and uncommented the mysql in the passwd file.
I gave the mysql1 user rights to the folder on the nss volume but it still doesn't work. When I try to run it from the local drive it works fine.

I have checked to see if there is another mysql.sock file somewhere on the machine and can't find nor is there another mysql server running.
