I'm doing a project to set all our PC's to go into standy after 2 hours. However, I seem to have a problem. MS use the system idle counter to determine when to put a PC into standby. One of the things this timer monitors is CPU usage. If the CPU usage goes above 10% then the timer is reset. We have done some monitoring on some of our PC's and it seems that every 30 seconds nalagent.exe does something and on a lot of the PC's whatever it does take up to 15% CPU usage which means that the PC's never go into standby. Anyone know what it is that nalagent.exe does every 30 seconds? Can we stop or change that, or worst case does anyone know if we can change this 10% threshold that MS uses to something higher (yeah, I realise the implications, just curious).
